How do you protect your own time when homeschooling full-time?

Rest hour after lunch - non-negotiable. Children nap, read or do quiet independent work.

One morning per week a grandparent comes. Protected time for genuine rest or personal pursuit.

We built independent work habits deliberately. By age 7 our son ran his morning basket alone.

Early morning 5:30-7:00am protected as mine. The day goes better when I have had time to myself first.
