Year-round schooling vs traditional term structure?

We switched three years ago and will never go back. Four six-week terms with two-week breaks. No summer slide.

Year-round works if you are flexible. Take breaks when you need them rather than on a calendar.

The downside is social calendar mismatch. Our children were unavailable when schooled friends were on holiday.

Six weeks on, one week off. Frequent enough to prevent burnout, short enough that momentum is not lost.
