What does a realistic homeschool morning look like for a family of four?

Morning basket first - 20 minutes all together: poetry, read-aloud, song. Then everyone splits to their own work. This works.

We do not start before 9am. A slow morning with breakfast together means the lesson time is far more productive.

The 5-3-1 rule: 5 days core academics, 3 days co-op or outing, 1 day completely free.

Chores first - beds made, dishes done. Children who contribute to the household have better focus for academic work.
