Some say younger is better for language; others say formal grammar study needs a more mature brain. What has your experience been?

Started Prima Latina at age 7 - light, song-based, very low pressure. By 10 she was ready for Latina Christiana.

Waited until 10 and it was fine. Latin requires pattern recognition that comes easier with a slightly older brain.

Age 8 was our sweet spot. Old enough for grammar concepts; young enough to absorb chants effortlessly. Improved English grammar dramatically.

Earlier is better only if it stays joyful. A positive experience at 10 beats a traumatic one at 7 every time.
